Role OverviewThe Cinematographer will be responsible for planning, shooting, and delivering high-quality visual content that aligns with the creative direction and storytelling requirements of the project. This role requires strong technical expertise, creative vision, and hands-on experience with cameras, lighting, and visual composition.
Key Responsibilities- Conceptualize and visualize the look, feel, and style of video content based on project requirements.
- Handle all technical aspects of video production, including camera operation, framing, shot composition, and lighting.
- Collaborate with directors, writers, and production teams to achieve the desired visual narrative.
- Plan and execute indoor and outdoor shoots, ensuring smooth production flow.
- Select appropriate camera equipment, lenses, lighting setups, and accessories.
- Ensure high-quality footage with correct exposure, white balance, and color tones.
- Supervise camera crew, lighting technicians, and production assistants as needed.
- Maintain organized data management, including backups and file transfers.
- Adapt to varying shoot conditions and creatively solve on-site challenges.
- Review footage and coordinate with editors to maintain visual consistency.
- Keep up with industry trends, latest equipment, and new shooting techniques.
Skills & Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Film, Media, Visual Communication, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Cinematographer, Videographer, or DoP.
- Strong understanding of cinematography techniques, lighting, lenses, framing, and camera movement.
- Proficiency in using professional cameras (e.g., Sony, Canon, Blackmagic, RED) and accessories.
- Knowledge of lighting setups, color grading basics, and production workflow.
- Exceptional visual storytelling and creative thinking abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and within tight timelines.
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
Additional Requirements- Portfolio or showreel showcasing previous cinematography work (mandatory).
- Willingness to travel for shoots as required.
- Flexibility to work extended hours during production days.
