Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Operation and Maintenance:
Oversee the operation and maintenance of electrical systems in the CHP facility, including power generation and distribution.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, including generators, transformers, switchgear, and control systems.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, local regulations, and environmental requirements.
Troubleshooting and Repairs:
Diagnose and resolve electrical faults or issues affecting the plant's electrical systems.
Lead emergency response for electrical failures, ensuring prompt restoration of operations.
System Optimization and Upgrades:
Conduct performance monitoring of electrical systems and implement strategies to optimize power generation efficiency.
Evaluate the need for system upgrades or replacements to enhance performance, minimize downtime, and improve system reliability.
Technical Support:
Provide technical support to the operations team, offering expertise on electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
Assist in the implementation of new electrical technologies or equipment to improve plant performance.
Compliance and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of electrical systems operation, maintenance schedules, and equipment performance.
Ensure that all electrical activities are compliant with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil, etc.) to ensure smooth integration and operation of plant systems.
Supervise and mentor electrical technicians and junior engineers, providing guidance and training as necessary.
Project Management:
Assist in managing electrical projects, such as plant expansions, system upgrades, or the introduction of new equipment.
Collaborate with contractors and vendors to ensure project timelines and specifications are met.
