Project-Based Opportunity | Annual Day Season 2026–27

Jagali Artspace is looking for experienced and energetic Choreographers for our upcoming school Annual Day productions.

This is a 20-day project-based engagement, with projects scheduled across November, December and January. Selected choreographers may be assigned to school projects based on their availability, experience and project requirements.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Choreograph theme-based dance-drama productions for school Annual Days
• Create approximately 6–7 choreographies per project
• Develop choreography that complements the story, theme and overall production
• Train school students across different age groups and skill levels
• Conduct rehearsals and prepare students for stage performance
• Create formations, transitions and stage movements
• Coordinate with Drama Trainers, Creative Directors and the Production Team
• Adapt choreography according to stage, student strength, costumes and production requirements
• Maintain discipline, punctuality and a positive rehearsal environment
• Contribute creatively to the overall presentation and impact of the production

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in school Annual Day / dance-drama productions
• Strong choreography and student-training skills
• Ability to create creative, theme-based and story-driven choreography
• Good understanding of stage formations and transitions
• Comfortable handling groups of school students
• Good communication and professional discipline
• Ability to work collaboratively with a larger creative team
• Willingness to travel up to approximately 25 km for school projects
• Comfortable travelling to locations such as Electronic City, Whitefield and other Bengaluru areas

Engagement: Project-Based

Project Duration: Approximately 20 working days

Project Period:November 2026 | December 2026 | January 2027

Choreographies: Approximately 6–7 per project

Compensation:25,000 – 35,000, based on experience and skill level

Location: Various schools across Bengaluru

IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for choreographers who can do more than teach dance steps — someone who can understand a story, translate it into movement and help students bring the production alive on stage.
