Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

  • Technology Strategy & Leadership:Define and execute the technology roadmap, aligning innovation with business objectives while mentoring high-performing teams across backend, frontend, AI, and DevOps.
  • AI & LLM Integration:Deploy and optimize Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT-4, Claude, and Mistral to build intelligent conversational travel agents, implementing prompt engineering and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows.
  • System Architecture & Backend Development:Architect scalable, low-latency systems using ASP.Net, ASP.Net Core, C#, C++, Django, and FastAPI. Develop APIs and microservices with JSON payloads to power web and mobile apps.
  • Frontend & UX Oversight:Ensure seamless and responsive user experiences through Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, with a strong focus on UI/UX integration and performance optimization.
  • Database & Data Management:Manage relational and NoSQL databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, with a focus on schema design, optimization, and ORM integration (SQLAlchemy).
  • Cloud & Infrastructure:Oversee deployments on AWS, GCP, or Azure with serverless technologies (Lambda, Cloud Functions) and containerized services (Docker, Kubernetes). Implement CI/CD pipelines for smooth release cycles.
  • Security & Compliance:Establish secure development practices, data protection mechanisms, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner with product managers, designers, and AI researchers to deliver impactful features rapidly and iteratively.
  • Operational Excellence:Drive system reliability, monitoring, debugging, and production support to ensure high availability and uptime.

  • Preferred candidate profile:
  • Experience:10+ years in software engineering, with at least 5 years in senior technology leadership roles.
  • Technical Skills:Strong command of ASP.Net, C++, C#, Python, Angular, JavaScript frameworks, FastAPI/Django, and asynchronous programming.
  • AI/ML Expertise:Hands-on experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face Transformers, and OpenAI/Anthropic APIs. Skilled in fine-tuning models (LoRA, PEFT) and applying evaluation metrics (BLEU, ROUGE).
  • Backend & System Design:Proven ability to architect large-scale, secure systems and RESTful APIs with focus on modularity and maintainability.
  • Frontend Development:Proficient in Angular, TypeScript, and responsive design with a strong focus on user experience and SEO best practices.
  • Database Knowledge:Expertise in SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and schema performance optimization.
  • Cloud & DevOps:Experienced with AWS/GCP/Azure, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless deployments.
  • Security Knowledge:Strong grasp of encryption, application security, and secure SDLC principles.
  • Leadership & Collaboration:Effective communicator with a track record of mentoring and leading diverse technology teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Innovation Mindset:Passionate about emerging technologies, problem-solving, and building AI-first travel experiences.

EaseMyTrip commenced its operations in 2008 by focusing on the B2B2C (business to business to customer) distribution channel and providing travel agents access to its website to book domestic travel airline tickets in order to cater to the offline travel market in India. Subsequently, by leveraging its B2B2C channel, the company commenced operations in the B2C (business to customer) distribution channel in 2011by primarily focusing on the growing Indian middle class population’s travel requirements. With our presence in the B2B2C and B2C channels, we were able to commence operations in the B2E (business to enterprise) distribution channel in 2013 with the aim of providing end-to-end travel solutions to corporates. Our presence in three distinct distribution channels provide us with a diversified customer base and wide distribution network.

Our technology-enabled infrastructure and systems have enabled us to operate and maintain an efficient and lean organization related to the size of our operations. We have not required any equity infusion subsequent to our original incorporation requirements, and we have historically financed our working capital requirements and the expansion of our business and operations primarily through funds generated from our operations and debt financing.
