Own technology vision from board to product

Job Description

Reporting directly to the CEO and Board, the CTO will be responsible for defining and executing the company's long-term technology strategy while building a scalable, secure, and high-performing engineering organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

Define the technology roadmap aligned with business and product priorities
Build and scale engineering, platform, data, and infrastructure teams
Lead architecture decisions across payments, lending, AI, and data systems
Drive platform scalability, reliability, cybersecurity, and compliance
Establish strong engineering culture, delivery frameworks, and hiring standards
Partner with product, operations, risk, and business leaders on strategic initiatives
Evaluate and implement AI/ML capabilities across customer experience and operations
Manage cloud infrastructure, DevOps maturity, and system performance at scale
Represent technology strategy in leadership and investor discussions
Drive innovation while balancing execution speed and operational excellence

The Successful Applicant

15+ years of technology leadership experience within fintech, SaaS, or high-growth technology environments
Prior experience building and scaling engineering organisations from early-stage to growth-stage
Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, APIs, data platforms, and security frameworks
Experience across fintech domains such as payments, lending, banking infrastructure, or risk systems is highly preferred
Proven ability to lead high-performing engineering teams in fast-paced environments
Exposure to AI/ML-led product ecosystems and modern data infrastructure
Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working closely with founders, boards, and investors
Commercially minded leader with the ability to align technology outcomes to business growth
Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for execution and ownership
