Interplanetary Studios is building a patent-pending colonization architecture for the Moon, Mars and Venus, centered around a crewed multi-environment spaceplane, invented by Frederic Eger.

Inventor Frederic Eger is looking for the head of engineering who turns the design into one controlled baseline, a department structure and a funded path from sub-scale demonstrators to the full vehicle.

This is a Partner/Co-Founder role, not an employee job.

It is a multi-decade commitment, but not a 9-to-5:

keep other work if it never conflicts with ours, and we measure output, not hours.

What you'll do:

1. Own the engineering baseline: requirements, data sheets, interface documents, change control;

2. Own vehicle mass, power, thermal, volume and propellant budgets;

3. Lead architecture trades and build the engineering departments;

4. Drive verification and certification, from analysis to flight;

5. Be our technical voice with investors, partners and regulators;

What we're looking for:

1. Master's or higher in aerospace, mechanical or systems engineering;
2. 12+ years in systems engineering, with a complete vehicle or safety-critical system taken through first flight, certification or field operation;

Requirements:

1. MBSE (SysML), trade studies, failure analysis, safety cases;
2. Founded or led a venture where your own money or reputation was at risk;
3. Persistence: when the plan collapses, you come back with the next one;

What you get:

A founding-team seat with authority over the whole engineering organisation

Pre-funding: revenue share and/or ownership, agreed individually, plus a modest monthly expense allowance. No conventional salary until funding closes.
