Lead and manage the DDE department, ensuring the team operates efficiently and meets project deadlines.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for design, drawing, and estimation processes.
Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and milestone tracking.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
Prepare and monitor project schedules, ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget.
Oversee the design and technical drawings for water supply and water resource projects.
Ensure that designs comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
Lead the estimation of project costs, resources, and materials for accurate budgeting and financial planning.
Review and approve technical designs, drawings, and estimates prepared by the team.
Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of all designs, drawings, and estimates.
Identify project risks related to design, construction, and estimation, and develop mitigation strategies.
Ensure that all designs and estimates comply with environmental, health, and safety standards.
Must have skills
Knowledge of sustainable design principles, especially related to water conservation and environmental impact.
Experience in handling multi-disciplinary teams and coordinating with various stakeholders, including government bodies, contractors, and consultants.
Advanced proficiency in design and estimation software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MS Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent project management tools.
Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology for integrated design and project planning.
Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCE) or similar certifications in estimation and budgeting would be highly beneficial.
