Job Description

The Chief Procurement Officer will be responsible for developing and executing the Procurement Strategy across direct materials, indirect procurement, logistics, contract manufacturing, and supplier relationship management.Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and implement a best-in-class Procurement strategy aligned with organisational growth objectives.
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities across raw materials, components, electronics, packaging, logistics, and indirect spend categories.
  • Drive cost optimisation, working capital improvements, and procurement excellence initiatives across global markets.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with key suppliers while ensuring supply continuity, quality, and compliance.
  • Lead supplier risk management, ESG sourcing initiatives, and sustainability programs across the supply chain.
  • Build robust procurement governance frameworks, policies, and digital procurement capabilities.
  • Identify and deploy procurement transformation opportunities through automation, analytical, AI, and digital tools.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, Product Development, and Commercial teams to support business objectives.
  • Lead and develop high-performing procurement teams across multiple geographies.
  • Drive strategic negotiations, supplier consolidation, and value engineering initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with global trade regulations, procurement policies, and ethical sourcing standards.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • MBA or Master's degree from a reputed institution preferred.
  • Minimum 20+ years of progressive procurement and supply chain leadership experience within large multinational organisations.
  • Strong experience in Automotive, Consumer Durables, Electronics, Home Appliances, Industrial Manufacturing, or related sectors.
  • Demonstrated success leading Sourcing and Procurement functions
  • Proven track record of delivering significant cost savings and procurement transformation programs.
  • Deep expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, procurement analytics, and contract negotiations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and strategic thinking ability.
