The Purpose:
The Chief People Officer (CPO) will be responsible for providing leadership in developing a comprehensive People and Human Capital strategy, culture implementation, and policy in support of the business and strategic direction of the company. Key areas will include talent transformation, competitive talent development, succession planning, change management, organizational and performance management, developing and implementing best practices, processes and systems, learning and development and total rewards/benefits. This individual will serve as a brand ambassador for the company in our market.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and execute a comprehensive talent development and transformation strategy aligned with organization's mission and goalsdriving innovation, best practices, and a high-performance culture rooted in success, accountability, transparency, and collaboration
- Lead the creation of world-class talent experiences for both existing and prospective talent pools.
- Provide strategic vision for organization's global workforce, guiding them through a rapidly evolving, AI-driven landscape.
- Serve as a strategic business partner to senior executives, offering innovative insights and solutions on critical HR issues and driving transformative change across the organization.
- Champion the digitization and modernization of HR functions, processes, and systems to align with and support overarching strategic objectives.
- Oversee special initiatives including talent transformation, training, change management, organizational design, compensation, analytics, and reportingadvancing the People agenda and delivering measurable impact.
- Set and execute both short- and long-term HR goals, policies, and operational procedures that align with company priorities.
- Partner across the business on key cyclical processes such as performance management, annual compensation planning, succession planning, employee sentiment measurement, and action planning.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues to address cross-functional and enterprise-wide HR challenges and initiatives
Qualifications and Experience:
- MBA or Master's degree in Human Resources, Human Capital Management, or a related field.
- Extensive experience managing both onshore and offshore HR models in dynamic, global environments.
- Proven success working within software engineering and IT services organizations, with deep exposure to AI-driven transformations.
- Strong public speaking skills, with a track record of board-level interactions and corporate brand representation.
- Over 15 years of progressive HR experience, including 57 years in senior leadership roles.
- Skilled in engaging with senior business leaders and operating independently in fast-paced environments.
- Comprehensive expertise across all major HR disciplines, including talent management, succession planning, organizational design, recruitment, compensation, learning & development, and employee relations.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively at both strategic and tactical levels.
- Adept at managing complex and diverse challenges across global teams.
- Solid background in strategic planning, process improvement, and execution excellence.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.
- In-depth knowledge of organizational development theories and best practices.
- Experience in re-engineering operations, policy formulation, and implementing innovative strategies and procedures.
- Proficient in HR information systems and digital tools supporting modern HR practices.
- Exceptional team leadership skills with the ability to inspire high performance and deliver quality results under tight deadlines.
- Experience leading and motivating globally distributed teams.
