Position Overview
COO will be responsible for driving operational excellence, program execution, stakeholder coordination and organizational scale across all initiatives of the organization.
This is a leadership role requiring a strong execution oriented professional capable of balancing field operations, people management, donor coordination, process implementation and expansion initiatives.
The role demands a high ownership mindset and the ability to build systems, strengthen execution discipline and ensure seamless delivery of programs at scale.
The COO will work closely with the Founder & CEO to institutionalize operational processes and build a sustainable organization capable of delivering national level impact through its stakeholders and partners.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Drive day-to-day operational management of all programs and initiatives
- Ensure smooth coordination between field teams, program coordinators, team leaders, consultants and partner organizations
- Build scalable operating processes, reporting systems and execution frameworks supporting internal approvalprocess, donor reporting and board / management reporting
- Monitor programme delivery quality, timelines and operational effectiveness
- Ensure high standards of responsiveness towards beneficiaries, donors and partners
Program Management
- Oversee execution of all the five programs – Arogyam, Unnati & Pragati, Saksham, Nirman & Saraathi
- Drive performance of teams and management reporting on regular basis with focus on impact and ground implementation
- Drive training & development needs of the team and operational readiness for new projects and partnerships
Stakeholder & Partnership Management
- Build and maintain relationships with corporates, hospitals, NGOs, educational institutions,government bodies and donors
- Support fundraising and donor engagement initiatives through strong operational credibility and reporting
- Coordinate with strategic partners for program implementation and expansion
Team Leadership
- Alignment with CEO and Founder on strategic initiatives and next level of growth
- Work closely with Team Leaders and operational staff for performance improvements
- Build a performance driven yet mission aligned organizational culture
- Support hiring, onboarding and capability development of new team members
- Ensure strong ownership and accountability across teams
Systems, Reporting & Compliance
- Develop structured MIS and operational dashboards for management review
- Ensure proper documentation, digitization and data management across programmes
- Coordinate with finance and compliance teams for statutory and donor reporting requirements
- Ensure operational adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements
Growth & Scale
- Assist leadership in preparing annual operating plans and manpower projections
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements across programmes
- Support organization building initiatives as programmes grow in size, geographical spread and impact Take ownership of special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by the leadership team
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience
- 10 to 12 years of operational experience in porgramme documentation, programme delivery and team management
- Prior experience in nonprofit organizations, healthcare, educational and mentoring organization or community development sectors preferred
- Experience managing multi-stakeholder programmes and field operations
- Exposure to fundraising support, donor coordination or CSR ecosystem
Educational Qualifications
- Graduate degree mandatory
- Post Graduate qualification in Management, Social Development, Healthcare Administration or related fields preferred

Working Conditions
Full time leadership role with a 5-day workweek
Reasonable field engagement and travel for stakeholder interaction expected
Travel mostly within Maharashtra and other locations occasionally across India as required
