Position Summary:

As the COO, you will oversee our company's ongoing operations and procedures, being the second-in-command of the organization and reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). You will be the key executive managing the breadth of our diverse business operations, aiming to secure the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures.
• Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth.
• Establish policies that promote company culture and vision.
• Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives (IT, Marketing, Sales, Finance, etc.).
• Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication.
• Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
• Write and submit reports to the CEO in all matters of importance.
• Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.).
• Manage relationships with partners/vendors.
• Oversee quality control throughout the company, establishing goals for each department in partnership with division managers.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as Chief Operating Officer or relevant role.
• Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.
• Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
• Experience in fundraising will be a plus.
• Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
• Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office.
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
• Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus.
• Strong business planning and operations management skills

• Experience in the Heavy Engineering industry is preferred

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Pune. As the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing business planning, operations management, finance, budgeting, and utilizing analytical skills to drive efficiency and effectiveness. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies, implement policies, and ensure operational excellence.
