Position Summary: A senior business and operations leader responsible for driving overall business performance, operational excellence, and strategic growth across the organization. The role partners closely with the Managing Director / CEO to translate strategic vision into execution across sales, operations, projects, manufacturing, and customer delivery.
The position requires a strong blend of commercial leadership, operational management, project execution, and cross-functional coordination to ensure sustainable growth, profitability, and market leadership in engineered industrial solutions.
The role will oversee P&L performance, market expansion, operational efficiency, and organizational capability development while strengthening Bell Cooling Towers position across key industry sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Executive Leadership
- Partner with the Managing Director / CEO in defining corporate strategy, growth roadmap, and annual operating plans.
- Drive alignment across sales, operations, projects, and manufacturing to achieve business objectives.
- Translate long-term strategy into actionable execution plans, KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Provide strategic inputs to the leadership team on market trends, industry developments, capacity planning, and investment decisions.
- Lead initiatives focused on operational transformation, process improvement, and scalability of business operations.
- Support leadership in organizational development, succession planning, and capability building.
Business & Operational Leadership
- Own overall P&L performance, including revenue growth, profitability, margins, and working capital management.
- Ensure alignment between order inflow, manufacturing capacity, and project execution capability.
- Drive operational efficiency, cost optimization, and improved project delivery timelines.
- Oversee commercial strategy, pricing frameworks, and contract management.
- Strengthen forecasting, business planning, and performance monitoring systems.
- Ensure effective coordination between sales, engineering, manufacturing, SCM, and finance.
Project & Execution Leadership
- Provide leadership oversight for large industrial and infrastructure projects from order acquisition to commissioning.
- Ensure effective project planning, resource allocation, execution, and milestone tracking.
- Monitor project profitability, cost control, and delivery schedules.
- Oversee technical compliance, quality standards, and site execution practices.
- Resolve critical project issues through coordination between engineering, procurement, and site teams.
People & Organizational Leadership
- Build and lead high-performance teams across sales, operations, and project management.
- Develop leadership capability among senior managers and regional heads.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer centricity.
- Strengthen organizational structure to support business growth and scalability.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Maintain strategic relationships with key customers, consultants, EPC contractors, and industry partners.
- Represent the company in high-level negotiations, strategic partnerships, and major contracts.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders such as auditors, vendors, and regulatory bodies when required.
Change Management & Growth Initiatives
- Lead transformation initiatives including sales process optimization, CRM adoption, and digital reporting systems.
- Strengthen data-driven decision making through dashboards and ERP-based reporting.
- Drive initiatives that improve customer experience, operational transparency, and organizational agility.
Project Leadership
- Lead end-to-end execution of complex civil and infrastructure projects with full responsibility for planning, coordination, resource management, execution, and project delivery.
- Oversee project implementation with complete P&L accountability, ensuring cost control, profitability, and timely completion of project milestones.
- Manage multi-disciplinary teams, ensure alignment with project timelines, and enforce high construction standards throughout all stages.
- Oversee all phases of civil and structural construction at the project site. Ensure works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and technical guidelines.
- Conduct site inspections, review workmanship, and verify material quality. Provide technical guidance, resolve site issues, and optimize construction methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- B.Tech / BE in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil, or related Engineering discipline.
- MBA / PGDM in Sales, Marketing, Strategy, or Operations from a reputed institute (preferred).
- 15+ years of leadership experience in engineering-driven B2B organizations.
Proven experience in senior leadership roles such as:
- Business Head
- COO / Deputy CEO
- Executive Director
- VP / AVP – Sales & Operations
• Strong experience in industrial engineered products such as:
- Cooling Towers
- HVAC systems
- Heat Exchangers
- EPC / project-driven environments
- Demonstrated P&L ownership with responsibility for revenue, margins, working capital, and receivables.
- Experience managing large, complex industrial projects involving consultants, EPC contractors, and end customers.
- Proven ability to work closely with Promoters / MD / CEO / Board, translating strategic vision into operational execution.
