Role Description

This is an on-site contract role for a Chief Officer - 2nd Mate at KNK Ship Management at Mumbai Location. Key responsibilities include navigating and maneuvering vessels, maintaining vessel safety, overseeing deck operations, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations, and training junior deck officers and crew. The Chief Officer will also be responsible for cargo handling, coordinating with port authorities, and assisting in emergency response operations.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in navigation, route planning, and vessel maneuvering techniques
• Knowledge of maritime safety regulations, compliance standards, and emergency procedures
• Experience in cargo handling, deck operations, and maintenance tasks
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills for effective crew and subordinate management
• Certifications in maritime safety and operations, such as STCW, and a valid COC for Chief Officer or 2nd Mate
• Adaptability and readiness to work on-site in Surat under a structured contract
