What you'll do at Ather:
The Chief of Staff (CoS) Quality is an extension arm that supports the Head - Quality with effective decision-making by providing data, project management, and execution of strategic initiatives across all the functions. The CoS envisions the future and focuses on long-term planning and projects to ensure the growth of the department and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate special projects like process capability, traceability, repeatability & reproducibility for attribute & variable measurement systems on Quality improvements for internal/external manufacturing products at Ather lines on Lean & Built in Quality principles
- Facilitate Best In Class Quality strategic initiative, capacity evaluation, special audits integration across the Suppliers to ensure consistent parts quality and quantity
- Develop Quality team Competency Framework, by working with the stake holders
- Develop & Deploy Quality Standards /Guidelines on processes like TPM, TQM, Manufacturing Excellence in Quality
- Driving the critical priorities Like 8D problem solving methodology deployment, Quality Analytics tools, Quality Data management, Supplier Portal management, Supplier scorecard Management, 4M change portal, Internal/External Benchmarking process, etc
- Facilitate strategic initiatives like Quality Process Digitalization, AI integration, across the Quality department
- Provide data analysis, recommendations, and options regarding high impact decisions, acts as an extension /SPOC on behalf of the Head Quality and facilitate with internal and external stakeholders
- Proactively review the Quality OKRs status, progress monitoring , reporting
- Serve as an innovative thought partner and strategic advisor to the Head Quality standing in meetings, challenging ideas and offering a different perspective, and following up on action items with the team accordingly
- Facilitate resource planning, budget management, learning & development and ensure action items are tracked & executed
- Track all the high priority department level initiatives to identify any/potential obstacles & provide Monthly MIS reporting
Key deliverables:
- Drive key initiatives & support to deliver improvements in Quality org and capability
- Support Head of Quality to implement strategic initiatives
- Data Analytics to help the department with high impact priorities
Experience and Qualifications:
- B.Tech (Mechanical / Automotive or Electrical & Electronics engineering) + MBA Operations / M. Tech. Quality management)
- Experience: 8-10 years
- Good acumen in Data Analytics , Quality Systems, Automation and software tools
- Quality Certification preferred in 6 Sigma Black Belt, Shainin Techniques , American Society of Quality
- Exposure & understanding of Toyota Production/Global Manufacturing System
