A note from Pratyush, CEO:

AI is fundamentally wiser than us today in 90%+ jobs. Soon it will be wiser than us in 99.9%+ jobs. What stops us from fully utilising its potential is our inability to feed it the right context.

If we succeed, every brilliant context, whether from a designer, oncologist, or 10-year-old, gets captured and acted on. We need a partner who will obsess over that outcome with us and make sure nothing mission-critical slips between the cracks.

Our history

Over the past two years, we’ve grown Merlin from zero to 2 million users and raised over $8M in funding. Our product helps people research, create content, and take action right in their workflow.

Now we’re doubling down on something fundamentally important for humans to achieve AGI. Personal context and long-term memory. Very soon, people will rely on AI around the clock. For making decisions and doing tasks. But AI today is like a smart person with amnesia. It doesn&apost have the context of your life. It can only rely on info you give it in writing (which is limited), but can’t do anything else.

Persistent context remains the biggest roadblock to unlock true AGI potential scale. Today, interacting with AI still means opening an app, sending a message, or logging into a device; that seamlessness isn’t simply there.

Cracking that how” is very important to make a true AGI scale product that can help us with everything that is happening in our lives. This is a trillion-dollar opportunity, and we’re determined to make it real.

The product in brief

We’re building the first AI product that understands the full context of everything you say, hear, do, and use that insight to help you make better decisions.

Our always-on voice platform records every conversation — meetings, hallway chats, late-night brainstorms — and transforms those spoken insights into actionable knowledge for a ChatGPT-grade assistant (think the original Merlin).

Soon, the product will also capture what you watch and listen to on-screen, so whenever you ask for help, the AI will already know the story behind your question.

Imagine never losing a brilliant idea just because it wasn’t typed into a doc, or preserving every cherished moment with your child. That’s the future we’re shipping, and it will fundamentally change how humans make decisions.

Who are we

Merlin is founded by Pratyush Rai (ex-BCG, IIT-K), Siddhartha Saxena (IIT-K CS, ex-ML Engg in Canada based Jumio Montreal), and Sirsendu Sarkar (ex-Quantiphi, IIT-K). All three founders are Forbes 30u30 alumni.

We have raised a total of $8.3 million USD from the know-who&aposs of the US and India, including Better Capital India, Dharmesh Shah (CTO of Hubspot) and prominent execs from Oyo, NoBroker, Meesho, etc.

You’ll Nail This Role If You…

• Have 1-2 years of experience in tier-1 consulting (McKinsey, BCG, Bain).
• Combine high creative horsepower with unteachable scrappiness and hustle; you model scenarios in sheets and negotiate with vendors on WhatsApp.
• Can own growth channels end-to-end. And figure out growth in uncharted territory (US / Europe) with low resources.
• Can utilise your creative aptitude to craft great stories for socials, investor decks, marketing campaigns, product launches, etc.
• You are a structured thinker who brings order to chaos; people breathe easier after talking to you.
• Can ghost-write an investor email at 11 pm that reads better than CEO&aposs.
• Crave speed and ownership over titles and playbooks.
• Are future-founder curious”, you want to watch a company scale from 0 → 1000 before doing it yourself.
• Low-ego, feedback-hungry, intolerant of politics, artist at heart.
