Job Description

Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components.

Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India's first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To lead the factory's occupational health services, ensuring statutory compliance, promoting employee well-being, and managing medical emergencies and preventive health programs.
  • Conduct pre-employment, periodic, and exit medical examinations.
  • Provide medical care and emergency treatment for workplace injuries and illnesses.
  • Supervise and manage the Occupational Health Centre and its staff.
  • Ensure full compliance with the Factories Act, 1948 and Tamil Nadu Factories Rules.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and submit required health reports.
  • Participate in health and safety committees and audits.
  • Implement health awareness and disease prevention programs.
  • Advise management on occupational health risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor hygiene and sanitation standards across the factory.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • MBBS degree from a recognized university + Associate Fellow of Industrial Health (AFIH)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial/occupational health settings.
