Role Description

The Chief Mate FG is a full-time, on-site role for pan India Locations. The position entails overseeing deck operations, ensuring the safety and security of cargo and personnel, and supervising maintenance activities on the ship's deck. The Chief Mate is responsible for planning and execution of cargo operations, maintaining navigational watch, and assisting the Master with voyage planning and shipboard operations. Additionally, the role includes training and mentoring junior crew members and ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Navigation, Cargo Handling, and Deck Operations
• Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills
• Familiarity with maritime safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and emergency preparedness
• Experience in maritime operations such as harbor towage, offshore supply, or dredging is a plus
• Valid Chief Mate license as per STCW requirements
• Experience with Azimuth Stern Drive operations advantageous
• Good problem-solving aptitude and ability to make decisions in high-pressure situations
• Formal maritime education and training
