Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the legal team, providing guidance, support, and monitoring performance to ensure alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements.
- Handle all legal and regulatory matters, including but not limited to drafting legal responses and legal notices on behalf of the company.
- To oversee contract management with respect to Outsourcing of Financial Services and IT outsourcing and IT Governance Framework
- To oversee fundraising documents eg. term loans, debentures, preference shares etc.
- Major should be contract management and 20-30% may be in litigation
- Draft, vet, and execute loan and other agreements, MoUs, NDAs, and other legal documents in compliance with extant RBI guidelines
- Oversee opinion writing, litigation proceedings, and related support, and conduct legal and regulatory due diligence.
- Liaison with Law Enforcement Agencies and submission of response/information on queries received from office of LEA's.
- Manage customer escalations and grievances raised by customers received through statutory bodies, RBI, by way of drafting suitable responses.
- Liaise with the Registrar of Companies, NCLT, or other appropriate authorities regarding notices, approvals, or communications.
- Coordinate with various banks on a regular basis to execute necessary funding documents for new and existing financial facilities.
- Ensure compliance with Company Law, RBI compliances, and other relevant acts, rules, and guidelines applicable to the company and its group companies.
- Develop and implement strategies for legal risk management and mitigation.
- Foster a collaborative environment within the legal team and with other departments to ensure seamless legal support across the organization.
Requirements
- Qualification - CS/LLB.
- Experience: 10 to 15 years.
- Preference for candidates with NBFC/Banking compliances and legal background.
