Role Overview

We have grown into a multi-million-dollar company over the last one and a half decades through funding our growth organically. As we look to expand globally, and develop our existing businesses into world leaders, we are seeking a dynamic finance professional to drive the company's financial standing and processes on two fronts strategizing growth and getting the company ready for a short term strategic fundraise and/or an IPO in the medium term to long term.

The role will involve developing a financial strategy, working closely with the founder and C-suite executives to develop a strategic financial blueprint that is aligned with the company's short-, medium-, and long-term goals and objectives. The candidate will eventually be expected to handle the company's overall financial functions as well as oversee Finance and Accounting Team.

Key Responsibilities

CAPITAL RAISE AND INVESTOR RELATIONS

Raise capital for securing funds from investors or financial institutions to finance business growth and operations.

Drive growth and value to secure funding from institutions including, but not limited to, Private Equity (PE), venture funds, etc., and work towards an Initial Public Offering (IPO). Consequently, getting the company IPO-ready, which includes establishing an investor relations capability and implementing internal controls and financial reporting systems.

Understanding and being able to develop various types of financial models (e.g. comparable companies, precedents, and DCF) to value equity for capital-raising transactions and prepare and review of materials used in capital raise, including investment memoranda, management presentations, and pitchbooks. Securing financing by working closely with investment bankers, underwriters, and other financial advisors to secure financing for the IPO.

Apart from these, the responsibilities for the position will also involve:

BUDGETING AND FORECASTING

Ensure the company has accurate financial metrics (e.g., revenue, expenses, cash flow) and help the company stay informed about the performance of those metrics. Manage the budgeting and planning processes and build relevant models that track performance over time and continually improve the model to be more robust and predictive.

Constantly look for opportunities to suggest improvements to performance

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL

Analysing financial data, assessing risks and opportunities, and identifying areas where the company can improve its financial performance.

Managing financial reporting: Ensuring that the company's financial reports are accurate, timely, and compliant with all relevant regulations

Overseeing the preparation of financial statements, working with external auditors, and ensuring that the company is following all relevant accounting standards.

Collaborating with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and providing financial insights to prepare financial budgets and forecasts. Develop and implement strategic financial plans to guide the company's long-term growth and profitability while also focusing on mid-term strategies to optimize resource

Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field/MBA.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with significant experience in IPOs, capital markets, or investment banking.

Deep understanding of SEC regulations and the public company reporting environment.

Proven ability to manage complex financial projects and work effectively with external advisors and stakeholders.

Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.

Hands on experience of fundraising from Institutional Investors and closely monitor the due diligence process for fundraising

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in building and managing high-performing teams.

High level of integrity and professionalism.
