About EPORT

EPORT Agritech Pvt. Ltd. is building a technology-enabled ecosystem for international trade, focused on simplifying the way exporters, importers, buyers and suppliers conduct cross-border business.

As EPORT enters its next stage of growth, we are looking for a CFO who thinks beyond accounting and finance. The person should work closely with the founders to build EPORT into an investor-ready, scalable and financially disciplined startup.

Role Objective

The CFO will take ownership of EPORT's financial strategy, fundraising readiness, investor relations, financial controls and strategic partnerships.

A major responsibility will be to help EPORT raise startup capital by preparing the company for institutional investors, identifying and approaching relevant investors, managing fundraising conversations and supporting the founders through due diligence and closure.

This is intended to become a core leadership position, and the right candidate may be offered an opportunity to become a long-term partner/shareholder in EPORT, subject to performance, commitment and mutually agreed terms.

Key ResponsibilitiesFundraising & Investor Relations

• Develop EPORT's overall fundraising strategy.
• Prepare the company for Seed/Pre-Series/Series funding rounds as applicable.
• Build and maintain the financial model, valuation scenarios and funding requirements.
• Work with founders on the investor pitch deck and investment story.
• Identify relevant VCs, family offices, strategic investors, angel networks and institutional investors.
• Build and manage the investor pipeline.
• Participate in investor meetings alongside the founders.
• Manage investor follow-ups and information requests.
• Coordinate term-sheet discussions and negotiations with professional advisers.
• Manage financial and commercial due diligence.
• Maintain the investor data room.
• Drive the fundraising process from preparation through closure.

Financial Strategy & Planning

• Build annual and long-term financial plans.
• Prepare revenue, profitability and cash-flow forecasts.
• Develop country-wise and business-wise financial models.
• Monitor unit economics and contribution margins.
• Establish financial KPIs for management.
• Advise founders on capital allocation and growth investments.
• Develop scenarios for expansion into new markets.

Cash Flow & Working Capital

• Manage company cash flow and working capital.
• Develop shipment/business-level profitability tracking.
• Monitor receivables, payables and outstanding payments.
• Optimize capital utilization.
• Establish cash-flow forecasting systems.
• Evaluate working-capital financing opportunities.

Strategic Partnerships

The CFO will also work with the founders to identify and structure partnerships that can accelerate EPORT's growth.

This can include relationships with:

• Banks and NBFCs
• Trade-finance companies
• Insurance companies
• Logistics and shipping partners
• Export/import ecosystem partners
• Technology partners
• Strategic corporate investors
• Government/export-promotion organizations
• International business partners

The objective should be to create partnerships that provide capital, distribution, technology, market access or strategic value to EPORT.

Finance, Governance & Compliance

• Establish strong financial controls and SOPs.
• Oversee accounting, taxation, audit and statutory compliance.
• Coordinate with CA, CS, auditors, bankers and legal advisers.
• Ensure accurate MIS and management reporting.
• Strengthen corporate governance as the company prepares for institutional investment.
• Maintain investor-ready financial documentation.

Management Reporting

Provide the Founder/CEO with a structured monthly CFO dashboard covering:

Revenue → Gross Margin → Contribution Margin → Cash Flow → Working Capital → Receivables → Business/Country Profitability → Burn → Runway → Fundraising Pipeline → Investor Status → Strategic Partnerships.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone with strong experience in corporate finance, startup fundraising, financial modelling, investor relations, strategic finance or investment banking.

The candidate should understand how startups raise capital and should be comfortable speaking with founders, investors, banks, family offices and senior business leaders.

CA/CFA/MBA Finance or equivalent experience is preferred, but fundraising capability, financial understanding, network and execution ability will be more important than qualification alone.

Experience with startups, VC/PE, investment banking, trade, fintech, logistics, agritech or cross-border businesses would be highly valuable.

Partnership Opportunity

This is not intended to remain only a conventional salaried CFO position.

For an exceptional candidate who demonstrates strong ownership, successfully contributes to fundraising and helps build EPORT's long-term financial and strategic foundation, a partnership/equity opportunity may be offered.

Any equity/partnership should ideally be performance-linked and subject to vesting, rather than guaranteed upfront.
