Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Role Overview :

The CFO will be responsible for overall financial management, compliance, budgeting, and strategic support The role partners closely with the CEO and leadership team to support sustainable growth and profitability.

What We're Looking For:

Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with min 10 years experience heading Finance department of a mid-size company.

Experience in SaaS, telematics, IoT, Telcom or technology-driven businesses will be preferred.

Advanced Proficiency with financial software, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Tally), Excel based financial models.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax management, audits and financial compliance.

Strong Leadership & team management capabilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross functional teams.

High level of organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced business environment.

High integrity & ethical standards

  • Should be from Kerala and ready to work from our office at Kochi.

Detailed Job Responsibilities

1.Financial Planning & Strategy

Designing financial strategies aligned with the company's growth plans.

Budgeting, forecasting, and evaluating financial performance.

Identifying new investment opportunities and ensuring long-term sustainability.

Preparing the Annual business plan (Budget) for the group and tracking the actuals vs. budget and navigating/driving the company towards achieving its targets.

2.Regulatory and Statutory Compliance

Ensuring compliance with the Companies Act, 2013, Income Tax Act, GST Act, and other applicable laws such as Data & telecom regulations

Filing statutory returns and ensuring transparency in financial reporting.

Establish strong internal controls and audit readiness

Oversee internal & statutory audits

3.Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

Manage cash burn and runway

OptimizeReceivables from enterprise/fleet customers, Inventory of devices, Advance payments to telecom providers.

Evaluate leasing vs outright device sales models

4.Risk Management

Identifying financial risks such as credit risks, liquidity risks, and market risks.

Establishing internal financial controls (IFCs) to prevent fraud and mismanagement.

Advising on mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring

5.Financial operations & Reporting:

Sales Accounting: Ensuring proper sales accounting, implementation of the credit policy and ensuring timely payment from distributors.

Implement & maintain internal controls and process improvements to strengthen SOX readiness, reduce leakage and improve closing efficiency.

6.Strategic & Business Partner Role

Partner with Chairman & CEO on growth strategy, market expansion, and product profitability

Support decisions on:

oHardware vs subscription-led models

oFleet, logistics, automotive, insurance, or mobility verticals

Build long-term financial models aligned with roadmap and customer acquisition strategy

7.Cost Management

Decide pricing for devices and subscriptions

Track monthly and annual subscription income

Ensure revenue is recorded correctly (hardware + software)

8. Fundraising & Investor Management

  • Support fundraising and bank relations
  • Prepare reports for investors and board members
  • Handle financial due diligence

9.Team Leadership

Build & mentor high-performing finance team.

Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
