  • The ideal candidate is a seasoned finance leader with 15-20 years of experience, preferably in engineering services, EPC, or oil & gas services, with exposure to project-driven businesses.
  • They should have experience operating in internationally oriented organizations and be comfortable working with global teams, particularly in environments where operations and finance are based in different geographies. The candidate will bring strong commercial finance capability, with the ability to evaluate project economics, contracts, and large engineering engagements. Experience supporting leadership teams in a high-growth environment and helping scale financial processes and governance will be important.
  • The role requires someone who can balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to managing day-to-day finance operations in a mid-sized organization. Exposure to international accounting standards and experience working with banks or financing partners in global businesses will be valuable. Above all, the candidate should be able to act as a trusted advisor to the CEO while building a scalable finance function.

Desired Qualifications and Skill sets:

Experience

  • 15-20 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles
  • Experience in engineering services, EPC, energy services, or project-driven businesses
  • Prior responsibility for leading finance teams and managing full finance operations
  • Exposure to international business environments and global stakeholders
  • Experience supporting business growth (Geo expansion), strategic initiatives, or corporate finance activities

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong Finance Controllership background
  • Strong commercial and project finance acumen
  • Ability to partner with business leaders on strategic decision-making
  • Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, performance management and reporting
  • Strong experience of treasury, working capital management, auditing and banking relationships. Strong governance background.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-cultural collaboration

Education

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional accounting qualification
  • Additional qualifications such as CFA, MBA (Finance), or international accounting certifications would be advantageous
  • Strong grounding in international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS / UK GAAP / India GAAP exposure)
