Chief Executive Officer (Geosynthetics and Geotechnical)

Our company is expanding into the Geosynthetics and Geotechnical Solutions sector by establishing a new business vertical in India. To lead this strategic initiative, we are looking to recruit a highly accomplished CEO / Business Head / Vertical Head with extensive experience in the geosynthetics or related infrastructure industry.

This individual will be responsible for building and scaling the business from the ground up, defining the strategic direction, establishing market presence, developing the organization, and driving long-term growth and profitability.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) / Business Head – Geosynthetics

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute the long-term strategy for the Geosynthetics business in India.

Build and lead the new business vertical, including sales, marketing, technical services, operations, supply chain, and commercial functions.

Drive revenue growth, profitability, and overall P&L performance.

Establish relationships with government authorities, consultants, EPC contractors, infrastructure developers, industrial clients, and key stakeholders.

Develop partnerships with global manufacturers and technology providers.

Lead market entry, product portfolio development, pricing strategy, and go-to-market initiatives.

Recruit, mentor, and build a high-performing leadership and operational team.

Identify opportunities across highways, railways, mining, landfills, environmental engineering, water management, ports, airports, renewable energy, and other infrastructure sectors.

Oversee corporate governance, business planning, budgeting, risk management, and operational excellence.

Represent the company with customers, industry associations, government bodies, and strategic partners.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a senior executive with:

20+ years of leadership experience within the geosynthetics, geotextiles, geomembranes, construction materials, civil infrastructure, or related engineering sectors.

Demonstrated success in building, scaling, or leading a business unit or company with full P&L responsibility.

Strong strategic, commercial, and operational leadership capabilities.

Extensive relationships across government agencies, consultants, EPC contractors, infrastructure developers, and industry stakeholders.

Experience in product launches, market expansion, channel development, and business transformation.

Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

An engineering degree (Civil Engineering preferred); a postgraduate qualification such as an MBA would be an advantage.
