Position: CEO/Head – Transport & Logistics

Location: Kolkata/ Barbil

Experience: 15-20 years in Transport, Logistics, Supply Chain or Fleet Management

Mandatory Regional Experience: Minimum 10 Years in Barbil–Joda–Keonjhar Region

Role Type: Full-time

CTC: Up to 18 LPA

Candidate Preference: Candidates must be currently based in Eastern India.

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced CEO/Business Head – Transport & Logistics to lead and manage the entire transportation and logistics function of Premium Infra Logistics Pvt. Ltd. ensuring efficient, cost effective and reliable movement of raw materials and finished goods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the overall Transport & Logistics business and operations.
• Identify new business opportunities and build the logistics function into a profitable and scalable business vertical.
• Overall responsibility for transport & logistics strategy, operations and P&L.
• Ensure timely movement of materials across locations.
• Optimize freight cost, vehicle utilization, route planning, turnaround time and logistics productivity.
• Present regular MIS, cost analysis, performance dashboard and improvement plans to the management.
• Ensure strict compliance with RTO, GST, e-way bill, insurance, safety and statutory requirements.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process automation and logistics productivity improvement.
• Lead, mentor and build a professional logistics and transport team with strong accountability.
• Drive continuous improvements in service levels, cost efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Develop contingencies plan for vehicle shortages, route disruption, strikes and other supply chain risks.

Candidates Profile:

• MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain/Logistics or equivalent qualification preferred with strong leadership, commercial and operational experience in large scale transport/ logistics operations.

• Strong commercial, negotiation, operation and people management skills.

• Preferred experience in Steel, Mining, Minerals, Manufacturing or other heavy industries.

• Experience with technology enabled logistics and real time fleet monitoring.
