Role Description

This is an on-site, contract role for a Chief Engineer located on Ships. The Chief Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of vessel engineering departments, including maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment, ensuring safety standards are met, and managing engineering staff. The role includes meticulous planning and execution of engineering procedures, overseeing fuel management, and compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Experience in marine engineering, crew management, and onboard machinery maintenance
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and compliance protocols
• Excellent problem-solving and technical skills
• Leadership and team management abilities
• Effective communication and organizational skills
• Relevant certifications such as Chief Engineer Officer Certificate of Competency
• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or related field
