Chief Data Architect

We are looking for a Chief Data Architect to lead the enterprise data strategy and architecture for a new digital insurance joint venture. The role will build the foundation for data-driven decision-making, analytics, AI/ML and digital customer experiences across the business.

Experience: 15+ Years | 5 to 7 years in senior leadership

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the enterprise data strategy and architecture aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
• Design scalable and secure data architecture for P&C, Health and future insurance businesses.
• Establish standards for data modelling, integration, storage, governance and consumption.
• Lead cloud data platform initiatives across Azure, AWS and GCP.
• Build robust data integration frameworks connecting insurance systems, digital channels and external platforms.
• Drive DataOps, data quality, metadata, lineage and data cataloguing.
• Enable advanced analytics, AI/ML, real-time analytics and self-service BI.
• Partner with business, actuarial, analytics and technology teams to translate business needs into data solutions.
• Build, lead and mentor a high-performing data engineering team.

Candidate Profile

• 15+ years in Data Architecture / Data Engineering / Enterprise Architecture.
• 5–7 years in a senior leadership role.
• Large-scale enterprise data architecture experience.
• Financial Services/Insurance experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of the Indian regulatory and technology landscape.
• Experience in digital-first/InsurTech environments is an advantage.
