About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to lead commercial governance across our manufacturing business. This role is not a sales position. It is a senior, analytically driven role focused on margin protection, pricing discipline, inventory optimization, and working capital efficiency.
The CCO will work closely with the CFO and partner cross-functionally with Sales, Sourcing, Inventory Planning, Finance, and Operations to drive sustainable profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Margin ManagementOwn gross margin analysis and forecasting by product, customer, and channelTrack budget vs actual margin performance and drive corrective actionsEstablish margin benchmarks and governance frameworksIdentify and prevent price leakage and margin erosion
Pricing Strategy & GovernanceLead product pricing strategy supported by strong analytics and logicImplement pricing discipline, discount controls, and approval mechanismsGovern pricing exceptions across channels and customers
Inventory & Working CapitalOwn inventory valuation, aging, provisioning, and SOR turnsMonitor and manage slow-moving, non-moving, and dead stockDrive action plans to improve inventory velocitySupport working capital optimization initiatives
Analytics & ReportingDevelop and manage weekly CFO dashboards covering margin, pricing, inventory, and working capitalProvide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership
Cross Functional CollaborationAct as a commercial business partner to Sales, Sourcing, Inventory Planning, Finance, and OperationsStrengthen finance and operations coordinationSupport product and commercial strategy with profitability-led insights
Required Experience & Skills10–15+ years of experience in commercial finance, pricing, or profitability-focused rolesPrior experience in a manufacturing or vertically integrated business is essentialStrong expertise in:Margin analysis & forecastingInventory valuation & provisioningPricing governance & discount controlWorking capital optimizationAdvanced analytical capabilities (Excel, BI tools, ERP systems)Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills
