About The Role
What if your deep expertise in chemistry could directly shape how AI reasons through some of the most complex scientific problems in the world We're looking for Chemistry Researchers with advanced degrees to design, solve, and evaluate challenging chemistry problems that teach AI to think like a scientist.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No AI background needed — just rigorous scientific knowledge, a sharp analytical mind, and the ability to communicate complex ideas with precision.

What You'll Do
- Design and develop advanced, real-world chemistry problems spanning organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry
- Solve and review complex problem sets to ensure scientific accuracy, depth, and clarity
- Apply domain expertise to craft problem statements that genuinely challenge AI reasoning capabilities
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to improve model performance
- Ensure all deliverables meet a high standard of scientific rigor and communicative precision
- Work independently on task-based assignments at your own pace
Who You Are
- Master's or PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field
- Deep expertise in one or more areas: organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry
- Comfortable coding in Python or working with computational chemistry tools (e.g., Gaussian, VASP)
- Exceptionally detail-oriented — you notice when something is scientifically off
- Strong written communicator who can articulate complex chemistry concepts clearly and concisely
- Fluent in English
- No prior AI or data annotation experience required — training support will be provided
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assurance, or evaluation workflows
- Familiarity with AI tools or scientific benchmarking platforms
- Cross-disciplinary knowledge spanning multiple branches of chemistry or adjacent STEM fields
- Background in research, academic publishing, or technical writing
