Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Chef De Partie specializing in Tandoor cuisine, located in Rishikesh. The Chef De Partie (Tandoor) will be responsible for preparing and cooking tandoor dishes to the highest standards, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations. Daily responsibilities include menu planning in coordination with the head chef, monitoring food stock, training junior kitchen staff, and maintaining the efficiency of the station during peak service times.

Qualifications
  • Expertise in Tandoori cooking techniques, including marination, grilling, and baking in a tandoor
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations, food handling, and preparation standards
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask under pressure
  • Experience in managing and training kitchen team members
  • Attention to detail in food presentation, seasoning, and portioning
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards
  • Formal culinary training or certifications in Indian or Tandoor cuisine are an advantage
  • Prior experience in a professional kitchen, particularly specializing in Tandoor, is highly preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the team in a fast-paced environment
