We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef for our Oriental Cuisine department. This role demands deep knowledge and hands-on expertise in Asian cooking styles such as Chinese, Thai, Japanese, and Pan-Asian fusion. The Head of Oriental Cuisine will be responsible for menu development, team leadership, kitchen operations, and delivering consistently high-quality dishes that reflect the flavors and presentation of authentic Oriental food.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the Oriental kitchen team, ensuring coordination, efficiency, and morale.
- Develop and curate menus across Chinese, Thai, Japanese, and other Asian cuisines in line with current food trends and customer preferences.
- Standardize recipes and ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and safety in compliance with FSSAI standards and internal policies.
- Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff in techniques and best practices specific to Oriental cooking.
- Work with procurement to source quality ingredients and maintain stock levels, with emphasis on authentic Asian spices, sauces, and fresh produce.
- Control food costs, reduce wastage, and monitor kitchen expenses to meet financial targets.
- Collaborate with service teams to handle guest feedback, special orders, and event catering.
