Job Description

Core focus

  • Design, development, and validation of steering systems (Hydraulic & EPS) for heavy commercial vehicles (HCVs).

Key Technical Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of EPS components: torque sensors, actuators, steering columns
  • CATIA (2D/3D CAD) proficiency
  • Casting/forging design, tolerance stack-up, DFMEA
  • Steering system vehicle integration & packaging
  • Validation: bench, vehicle, durability testing
  • Automotive standards: ISO, SAE, FMVSS, ISO 26262 (functional safety)
  • Exposure to mechatronics, steering simulations, Agile / model-based development
  • Supplier coordination, drawing reviews, QA, BOMs, change management
  • Cost optimization & design-for-manufacture

Good-to-have

  • Steer-by-wire exposure
  • PLM tools: Windchill, OAS, Enovia, Teamcenter
