Position Details

Position Title: Senior Officer / Assistant Manager – Indirect Taxation (GST & Customs)

Department: Finance & Accounts

Reporting To: Finance Head

Role Description

Purpose of the Role:

The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable indirect tax laws, including GST and Customs regulations, while supporting accurate financial reporting, tax reconciliations, audits, and statutory compliance within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• GST Return Filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and related returns)
• Input Tax Credit (ITC) Reconciliation with GSTR-2A/2B, Vendor Data, and IMS
• Customs Duty Compliance and coordination with Customs House Agents (CHA)
• Handling GST Audits, Assessments, and Departmental Notices
• 26AS Turnover Reconciliation and tax reporting
• Debtors Reconciliation and customer follow-up
• Monitoring changes in GST laws and ensuring organizational compliance
• Managing E-Invoicing, E-Way Bills, GST Portal, and ICEGATE operations
• Supporting tax planning, documentation, and compliance initiatives
• Ensuring timely submission of statutory reports and returns
