Job description:

The Chartered Accountant will be responsible for leading the company's financial strategy, ensuring robust financial controls, managing working capital, overseeing statutory compliance, and supporting business growth in the bitumen trading/manufacturing environment. The role requires strong exposure to commodity pricing, forex, taxation, and infrastructure-related financial planning.

Role: HEAD OF FINANCE & ACCOUNTS

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organization's business objectives and growth plans within the bitumen trading and manufacturing sector.
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and long-term strategic planning initiatives.
  • Monitor market dynamics, including crude oil and bitumen price fluctuations, and provide financial insights to support commercial and pricing decisions.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to the Directors and senior leadership team by providing data-driven financial analysis and recommendations.
  • Oversee all finance and accounting functions, including financial reporting, treasury management, taxation, auditing, and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital requirements, liquidity planning, and overall financial risk management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions, including management of credit facilities, fund raising, Letters of Credit (LCs), Bank Guarantees (BGs), and project financing.
  • Monitor foreign exchange exposure and implement appropriate hedging and risk mitigation strategies for import-export transactions.
  • Strengthen credit control processes and optimize receivables, payables, and overall financial efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, including GST, Income Tax, Customs, and corporate laws.
  • Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banking partners, and government authorities on financial and compliance matters.
  • Lead internal and statutory audit processes and ensure timely resolution of audit observations and recommendations.
  • Drive financial governance, internal controls, and continuous process improvements across the organization.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a senior finance leadership role, preferably within the bitumen, petrochemical, manufacturing, trading, oil & gas, or commodity-based industries.
  • Proven experience in treasury management, trade finance, taxation, and strategic financial planning.

  • Expertise in taxation, treasury operations, forex management, trade finance, and banking relationships.
  • Excellent strategic planning, analytical, and commercial decision-making capabilities.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to corporate governance and compliance.

Salary-upto 1,20,000/month & Negotiable
