Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Articleship role based in Mumbai. The Articleship trainee will assist in statutory, tax, and internal audits, including documentation, working paper preparation, and compliance checks. Responsibilities include supporting accounting and bookkeeping for clients, preparing financial statements, and assisting with tax computations, returns, and filings. The role also involves working on ROC and secretarial compliance, basic due diligence, and supporting assignments related to project financing, mergers and acquisitions, and business setup in India. The trainee will collaborate with seniors and partners, maintain proper work documentation, adhere to professional standards, and participate in learning sessions and internal training.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing Chartered Accountancy (registered with ICAI) and eligible for Articleship; strong academic record in commerce-related subjects.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, financial statements, and journal entries; familiarity with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally or similar).
- Interest in taxation, audit, and corporate laws, with willingness to learn income tax, GST, Companies Act, and related regulations.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and calculations.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work in a team and interact professionally with clients under guidance.
- Ability to manage time, handle multiple assignments, and meet deadlines in a structured, process-driven environment.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to the full Articleship tenure; openness to continuous learning and feedback.
- Prior internship or practical exposure in a CA firm is an advantage but not mandatory.
