Role Description
This full-time on-site Character Rigger role, based in Kolkata, involves creating and implementing high-quality rigs for characters and assets. The primary tasks include developing functional and intuitive rigging systems, performing facial rigging, scripting tools to optimize workflows, and collaborating with the animation and game development teams to maintain efficiency. The role also involves problem-solving to support animation needs throughout the production process.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Rigging, including character and asset rigging
- Experience with Facial Rigging and understanding of joint-based systems
- Skills in Scripting using tools such as Python or MEL to develop rigging automation
- Understanding of Animation principles and the ability to work closely with animation teams
- Knowledge of Game Development pipelines and real-time rendering requirements
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, on-site team environment
- A degree or diploma in Computer Graphics, Animation, Game Design, or a related field is preferred
- Prior experience in character rigging for games or animation projects is a plus
