Job Description

We're hiring a Head of General Trade to take Indian Silk House Agencies pan-India.

For decades, Indian Silk House Agencies has been a name people trust for silks and sarees. Now we're opening a new chapter — taking our brand to multi-brand retailers and distributor networks across India through General Trade.

This is a founding role. You won't be inheriting a network — you'll be building one from zero. Designing the channel strategy, identifying the right distributors state by state, structuring margins and credit terms, hiring the field team, and putting our brand on shelves where Indian women shop for sarees every day.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has 12+ years in General Trade / Distribution, with 3+ years leading a national function

• Has built or scaled a GT network from the ground up (FMCG, apparel, textile, or ethnic wear backgrounds all welcome)

• Understands trade economics deeply — schemes, ROI, credit policy, working capital

• Can hire and build a multi-region field team

• Is ready to travel and roll up sleeves — this is build mode, not maintenance mode
