Job Description

The Philips Capital Channel Financing Lead 60 engages closely with Philips commercial organisation and is responsible for developing and implementing financing solutions for channel partners and customers. The incumbent engages with channel partners and customers to understand their financial requirements, collaborating with Philips commercial teams and financing partners to ensure smooth transactions closure by leveraging external financing sources in line with internal processes. This role focuses on enhancing financing penetration, managing relationships with both channel partners and financing partners alike, and ensuring controlled financing processes to secure Philips balance sheet. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financing, supply chain management, stakeholder management, process optimisation, and a track record of delivering measurable business impact.

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Work in close association with Philips businesses across the Indian subcontinent, and across the globe, with a focus on developing financing solutions to support and grow business for and via channel partners across the Health Systems, Sleep & Respiratory Care and Personal Health businesses. You shall be responsible to identify, analyse, structure and implement various type of financing solutions. You shall team up with other regional, zonal and global Philips colleagues across different functions to deliver on financing solutions in sync with business requirements and suitable financing sources.

You are responsible to

  • Lead engagement with Philips channel partners to develop and implement structured financing programs and solutions to finance, facilitate and sustainably drive order intake and sales growth across HS, S&RC and PH businesses.
  • Build new financing solutions such as end-customer financing, D2C financing, credit insurance, through both, digital and traditional mechanisms adding channel partners onto financing and facilitating twin objectives of business growth and derisking payments collections risks.
  • Maintain strong operating relationships with banks, NBFCs, fintech and other financing partners and contribute to development of new financing partnerships, including support with negotiating financier term sheets, contracts and agreements.
  • Manage and grow portfolio of channel finance limits, including a proactive scale-up of financing limits, while ensuring tight control over AR processes to minimise exposure on Philips balance sheet and minimising overdue AR for both Philips and financiers.
  • Collaborate with sales, services, finance, supply chain and other teams to ensure effective closure of transactions and drive financing and commercial acumen to achieve deeper and faster market access, creating stronger market advantage for Philips and its channel partners.
  • Keep track of market trends and competitor activity, and leverage customer insights, data analytics and technology to provide reliable inputs on funnel, performance and opportunities, and identify actionable recommendations for continuous improvement and streamlining financing processes.

To succeed in this role, you'll need a customer-first attitude with following skills and experience

  • Education: Master's degree in finance, economics, business or accounting.
  • Experience: 12+ years post-qualification experience in business financing, channel partner management and data analytics. Relevant experience in channel financing is preferred.
  • Knowledge of health care products and services with the ability to relate and leverage financing for channel partners and customers.
  • Strong relationship skills to play proactive and collaborative role to manage channel partners/ customers, and/or peer group managers across sales, services, finance, supply chain, etc.
  • Ability to develop relationships and a network across both internal and external stakeholders to deliver on financing solutions that deliver tangible business impact.
  • Work under limited supervision and broad guidelines, regularly applying independent judgment on matters of significance to drive business growth and compliance.
