CFO

A highly visible and strategic opportunity with one of India's leading investor-backed consumer platforms, seeking an accomplished Chief Financial Officer to partner closely with the Founder & CEO and Board in driving the next phase of growth, institutionalization, and value creation.

Based in Mumbai, this role carries full executive ownership of Finance, Investor Relations, Treasury, Taxation, Governance, Legal, Compliance, Corporate Development, and Strategic Planning across a multi-entity omni-channel consumer business operating across digital commerce, retail, manufacturing, and branded consumer products.

This role offers a unique opportunity to combine strategic leadership with hands-on execution in a fast-growing, founder-led environment while playing a pivotal role in the company's capital markets and IPO journey.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

• Partnering with the Founder & CEO on financial strategy, capital allocation, business performance, and long-term value creation.
• Leading annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, board reporting, and strategic decision-support across multiple business channels.
• Acting as the primary finance interface with the Board of Directors, investors, lenders, auditors, and external stakeholders.
• Driving investor relations, fundraising initiatives, banking relationships, and capital structure optimization.
• Leading the company's IPO readiness agenda, including governance enhancement, public company preparedness, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder management.
• Evaluating, structuring, and executing M&A opportunities, including diligence, valuation, integration, and synergy realization.
• Strengthening financial controls, reporting, compliance, taxation, treasury, risk management, and governance frameworks across multiple operating entities.
• Partnering with business leaders across digital commerce, retail, manufacturing, supply chain, and consumer brands to drive profitable growth and operational excellence.
• Building, mentoring, and developing high-performing finance, legal, and business partnering teams capable of supporting the company's next phase of scale.

To be eligible for this role you will require:

• 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including significant tenure in CFO, Group CFO, or equivalent executive leadership positions.
• Experience within Consumer, FMCG, Retail, D2C, E-commerce, Consumer Technology, Manufacturing, or related sectors.
• Strong track record in fundraising, investor relations, banking relationships, and capital allocation.
• Demonstrated experience in IPO readiness, public company governance, or successful listing processes.
• Proven M&A experience including transaction execution, integration, and value creation.
• Deep expertise across financial planning, controllership, governance, taxation, compliance, treasury, and business finance.
• Ability to operate effectively in a founder-led, high-growth, investor-backed environment.
• Professional qualification such as CA and / or MBA from a leading institution preferred.
