Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Certified Genetic Counselor based in Chennai. The Certified Genetic Counselor will provide genetic counseling services to patients, review genetic test results, and guide individuals and families in understanding their genetic information. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with healthcare teams, maintaining accurate documentation within the laboratory setting, participating in patient education, and contributing to genetic research initiatives. The role supports clinical decision-making while ensuring a patient-centric approach.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Genetic Counseling and Genetic Testing, with strong analytical and diagnostic capabilities
  • Knowledge of Medicine and experience working in a multi-specialty clinical or diagnostic setting
  • Experience in Laboratory Skills and familiarity with genetic testing procedures
  • Ability to conduct and interpret research related to genetics and healthcare
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide empathetic patient support
  • Master's degree in Genetic Counseling or a related field, and board certification (or eligibility) as a Genetic Counselor
  • Experience in precision medicine, reproductive genetics, or genomics is preferred
  • A strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams
