Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to serve as a Center Head / Unit Head / Business Head. This senior leadership position is responsible for the overall P&L management and operational excellence of the unit. The ideal candidate will possess a strong business acumen, a passion for service, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve clinical excellence, revenue growth, and superior customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • P&L and Revenue Management:
  • Develop and execute detailed quarterly plans based on the annual budget, collaborating with teams to achieve targets.
  • Identify and monitor key levers for top-line achievement and EBIDTA.
  • Drive revenue generation by optimizing lead management, conversion rates, and internal fulfillment of services.
  • Ensure profitability by analyzing and rectifying lags in various specialties, and optimizing pricing and packages.
  • Proactively monitor billing transactions to minimize leakages, and ensure timely collection of receivables.
  • Track key metrics such as Average Revenue per Occupied Bed, ALOS, and admissions/discharge TATs.
  • Cost Management & Efficiency:
  • Track material consumption and gross contribution margins, while analyzing discount percentages to maintain profitability.
  • Conduct productivity analysis to optimize doctor costs and manage unit operating costs efficiently.
  • Ensure cost and stock optimization of both pharmacy and non-pharmacy items, minimizing wastage and loss.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team to ensure optimal product selection and cost leverage.
  • Service Experience Management:
  • Lead the implementation of the Service Experience Plan, training and empowering frontline staff to deliver on the brand's promise.
  • Monitor customer interactions, actively seek feedback, and institutionalize a culture of continuous improvement through service innovations and value-adds.
  • Create a structured mechanism to analyze feedback, ensuring a path for sustained service improvement.
  • Operational Excellence:
  • Ensure the facility is maintained to high standards, and clinical protocols are strictly adhered to.
  • Collaborate with IT to optimize technology, improving both the customer experience and employee workflow, and implementing controls to prevent billing fraud.
  • Manage inventory efficiently, ensuring optimization and control.
  • Ensure the facility is audit compliant and all statutory licenses and agreements are up to date.
  • Clinician Engagement:
  • Serve as the key point of contact for consultants, building strong rapport and integrating visiting consultants into the unit's culture.
  • Actively work with clinician teams to improve patient care outcomes and service experience.
  • Identify and build new specialties to increase footfalls and conversions.
  • Quality & Clinical Governance:
  • Coordinate and support NABH certification, surveillance audits, and post-audit closures.
  • Actively monitor clinical quality indicators and participate in key committee meetings (e.g., Mortality, Infection Control).
  • Collaborate with medical services to organize educational seminars and conferences.
  • People Management & Leadership:
  • Lead, manage, and motivate the unit team, fostering an environment where employees are trained and empowered to achieve goals.
  • Celebrate successes and recognize outstanding performance to build a culture of high achievement.
  • Business Development:
  • Facilitate community outreach activities and organize promotional campaigns to build the brand and attract potential customers.
  • Gather market intelligence and track competitor activities to inform and fine-tune marketing strategies.

Qualifications

  • Education: A master's degree in Hospital Administration (MHA) or a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
  • Experience: 8-14 years of relevant experience in a leadership role within the healthcare industry.
