Role Overview

The Centre Head is responsible for driving enrolment growth and profitability of the centre while ensuring high-quality academic delivery and smooth day-to-day operations. The role demands a strong balance of business ownership (70%) and operational excellence (30%).

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Growth & Enrolments (70%)
  • Own and deliver student enrolment targets for NEET / JEE / Foundation programs
  • Identify and execute local growth opportunities (school tie-ups, seminars, events, referrals)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with nearby schools, principals, teachers, and influencers
  • Plan and execute centre-level marketing & outreach activities in coordination with central marketing
  • Drive lead conversion efficiency through counsellor training, reviews, and follow-ups
  • Ensure timely fee collection, minimise outstanding dues, and improve cash flow
  • Analyse local competition and recommend pricing, offers, and program positioning

2. Centre Operations & Academic Delivery (30%)
  • Ensure smooth daily operations of the centre including timetables, batch planning, and attendance
  • Maintain high standards of academic delivery and student experience
  • Monitor student attendance, performance, retention, and dropouts
  • Proactively address student and parent concerns to maintain a zero-complaint culture
  • Organise parent meetings, topper interactions, and review sessions
  • Coordinate with faculty to ensure syllabus completion and academic quality
  • Ensure compliance with Rays Education's academic and operational SOPs

3. Team Leadership & People Management
  • Lead, motivate, and manage faculty, counsellors, and administrative staff
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide on-ground coaching
  • Build a performance-driven and student-centric culture within the centre
  • Ensure staff discipline, engagement, and retention

4. Reporting & Reviews
  • Submit weekly and monthly operational reports to the COO covering:
  • Enrolments & lead funnel
  • Counsellor performance
  • Fee collections & dues
  • Student retention & dropouts
  • Academic and operational issues
  • Maintain accurate records and MIS as per organisational standards

Task & Data Ownership

The Centre Head will maintain and review:

  • List of schools within a 20 km radius
  • School segmentation (CBSE / State / ICSE)
  • Number of science stream students in the catchment
  • Batch-wise student enrolment and attendance
  • Dropout and retention analysis
  • Student and parent feedback

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 510 years of experience in education / coaching / centre management
  • Strong understanding of NEET / JEE / entrance coaching ecosystem
  • Proven ability to drive sales, enrolments, and team performance
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Hands-on, execution-focused, and locally networked
