Job Summary
We are looking for a Cellular Protocol Engineer to work on modem issue analysis and troubleshooting in the areas of network search, voice calls, and data communication. The role involves protocol field issue analysis across IMS and Android telephony, and contribution to technical knowledge building and AI-based fault analysis capability development.
Key Responsibilities
1.Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve modem issues related to network acquisition/registration, voice calls, and data communication.
2.Handle issues in cellular call flows, IMS, and Android telephony call processing, and drive issues to closure.
3.Conduct field testing of mobile communication protocols, and analyze and resolve field/customer issues.
4.Document typical issue cases, analysis methods, and technical findings; participate in building AI-based fault analysis capabilities to improve the team's efficiency in handling communication issues.
Required Qualifications
1.Bachelor's degree or above in Communications, Computer Science, or related fields.
2.2+ years of relevant experience in communication protocols, voice call, or data communication.
3.Familiar with cellular call flows, IMS architecture, and Android call processing mechanisms.
4.Proficient in 3GPP LTE and WCDMA protocols, with familiarity in NAS/RRC/AS/L1 layer protocol analysis.
5.Strong fault localization and problem analysis skills, with the ability to independently drive resolution of complex issues.
6.Experience in fault analysis related to network acquisition/registration, voice calls, or data transmission on Qualcomm/MTK/UNISOC platforms is preferred.
7.Familiarity with 5G NR protocol is preferred.
