Your Role And Responsibilities
As a Software Development Manager: Cloud, you will be responsible for the delivery, enhancements and support for Services under Cloud Data Services portfolio
- You will be responsible to define and drive engineering practices, and adhere to the management processes such as IPD, quality assurance, business controls, and procedures.
- Focus on delivering high-quality services to meet client needs, contributing to satisfactory audits and positive client ratings.
- Oversee Cloud Operations: Demonstrate expertise in multi-cloud environments, including public, private, and hybrid clouds, as well as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
- Drive Cloud Development: Develop and deploy applications on IBM Cloud utilizing technologies such as Kubernetes and Container Applications.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Multi-Cloud Environment Expertise: Experience with multi-cloud environments, including public, private, and hybrid clouds, as well as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
- Cloud Development Knowledge: Experience in developing and deploying applications on IBM Cloud
- Open-Source Contribution: Experience contributing to open-source software, working effectively with open-source communities to support business needs.
- Operational Management: Experience managing development expenses, overseeing processes such as IPD, quality assurance, business controls, and procedures.
- Cloud Technology Understanding: Experience with technologies such as Kubernetes, Container Applications, Software Defined Networks (SDN), and Network Resiliency.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
- Cloud Community Influence: Experience with influencing open source communities to support business needs, driving community best practices in internal processes, and contributing to open source software.
- Knowledge on Cloud Databases Advanced Cloud Technologies: Experience with technologies such as Kata, Operators, and Content Delivery, demonstrating a deep understanding of cloud development and deployment.
- Cross-Platform Development: Experience developing on multiple cloud platforms, including IBM Cloud, PowerVS, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, with a focus on container applications and Kubernetes.
