Job Title: CDL Drivers
Job Description: CDL Drivers hold a valid CDL, have a strong work ethic, operate safely and professionally, haul construction materials and equipment, and enjoy being part of a team that builds Iowa bridges.
Essential Duties: Equipment Transport: Move heavy machinery—including loaders, excavators, and pile driving units—between the yard and active project locations.
Load Securement: Ensure all loads are properly chained, strapped, and secured for transport according to DOT regulations.
Site Support: Assist the bridge crew with manual tasks when not driving, which may include moving forms, organizing inventory, or helping with site setup.
Equipment Inspection: Perform daily Pre-Trip and Post-Trip inspections on trucks and trailers to ensure everything is in safe, well-maintained operating condition.
Qualifications: Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Must be comfortable working outdoors in various Iowa weather conditions (heat, cold, rain) and standing or moving for extended periods on uneven construction site terrain. bility: Punctuality and a strong work ethic are essential for maintaining our project schedules.
