Job Title: CCTV & Network Technician
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated CCTV & Network Technician with hands-on experience in IP camera installation, structured cabling, fiber splicing, switch configuration, and wireless network setup. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of network fundamentals (CCNA level) and the ability to handle BOQ preparation, site surveys, and project execution with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- CCTV & IP Camera Installation
- Install, configure, and maintain analog and IP-based CCTV systems.
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of surveillance systems.
- Ensure optimal camera coverage and recording quality.
- Networking & Configuration
- Configure and maintain network switches, routers, and access points.
- Support LAN/WAN setup, IP addressing, and VLAN configurations.
- Perform network diagnostics and resolve connectivity issues.
- Fiber Optic & Structured Cabling
- Carry out fiber splicing, termination, and OTDR testing.
- Install and label structured cabling systems (Cat6, Cat6A, Fiber).
- Ensure all cabling is installed according to standards and safety protocols.
- Site Survey & Project Planning
- Conduct site surveys to identify project requirements and scope of work.
- Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers and clients to ensure timely completion.
- Access Point & Wireless Setup
- Install and configure wireless access points and controllers.
- Optimize Wi-Fi coverage and performance across client environments.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor of Engineering in EEE / IT / ECE / CS, or related field.
- Certifications: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: 15 years of hands-on experience in CCTV and network installation projects.
- Technical Skills:
- IP camera setup, NVR/DVR configuration
- Network switch & router configuration (Cisco, Huawei, etc.)
- Fiber optic splicing and testing
- Structured cabling installation (Cat6, Cat6A, Fiber)
- Wi-Fi and Access Point deployment
- BOQ preparation and documentation
- Site survey and technical reporting
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
