To generate catering and event business for the hotel through proactive sales, client relationship management and effective conversion of enquiries into confirmed business, while ensuring a seamless experience from enquiry to event completion.

Key Responsibilities
Catering & Event Sales
- Generate business for meetings, weddings, social events, corporate functions and MICE.
- Develop new catering and event accounts.
- Maintain relationships with event planners, corporates, wedding planners and local clients.
- Conduct site inspections and client presentations.
- Prepare proposals, packages and quotations.
- Negotiate commercial terms within approved guidelines.
- Follow up on enquiries and convert leads into confirmed business.
- Maintain an accurate pipeline of future business.
- Understand client requirements and communicate them accurately to operational teams.
- Coordinate with Banquets, Kitchen, F&B, Front Office and other departments.
- Ensure BEOs and event requirements are communicated clearly.
- Follow up with clients before, during and after events.
- Support smooth execution of events.
- Work with the commercial team to maximise event revenue.
- Monitor competitor offerings and market trends.
- Identify opportunities for additional revenue through rooms, F&B and event services.
- Ensure business is secured at commercially appropriate rates.
- Build long-term relationships with clients.
- Maintain regular contact with key accounts.
- Handle feedback and complaints professionally.
- Ensure prompt follow-up and service recovery.
- Maintain accurate CRM and sales records.
- Prepare sales and event pipeline reports.
- Track enquiries, conversion, lost business and future opportunities.
Education
- Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management, Business Administration, Sales & Marketing or related field.
- 3–5 years of hotel sales experience.
- Experience in catering, banquet, events, weddings, corporate or MICE sales preferred.
- Catering and event sales.
- Proposal and quotation preparation.
- BEO and event coordination.
- CRM and sales reporting.
- Basic understanding of hotel pricing and revenue.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong relationship-building ability.
- Confident presentation skills.
- Commercially driven and results-oriented.
- Strong follow-up and organisational skills.
- Customer-focused and proactive.
