Role Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and business-oriented Category Executive to support and grow assigned product categories within a fast-paced retail environment. The role focuses on assortment planning, vendor management, category growth, and market analysis to drive sales, margin, and inventory efficiency.
The ideal candidate will come from Apparel, FMCG, Pharma Retail, or other consumer-facing industries, with a strong understanding of offline retail operations and category fundamentals.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Curate and onboard relevant assortments aligned with category strategy
- Collaborate with vendors to enhance category performance and business outcomes
- Manage and nurture relationships with sellers, partners, and brand principals
- Drive category growth through pricing, promotions, assortment optimization, and availability levers
- Conduct continuous market and competitor analysis on assortment, pricing, and trends to identify gaps, threats, and opportunities
- Work closely with buying, marketing, and operations teams to implement corrective actions
- Manage inventory returns and liquidation processes in line with defined SOPs
- Monitor sales performance and inventory levels to minimize lost sales opportunities

Education & Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree: Mandatory
- Master's Degree (MBA): Preferred
- Work Experience: 12 years preferred
- Mandatory Industry Experience: Consumer-facing sectors such as FMCG, Pharma Retail, Apparel, or related retail environments
- Exposure to business operations, category management, or merchandising is desirable
