About the Role

We are hiring a Category Operations Executive to manage day-to-day category operations across leading online marketplaces. This role is critical in ensuring smooth execution of pricing, inventory availability, promotions, and platform compliance while driving category visibility, conversions, and growth through strong cross-functional coordination and data-led insights.

Key Responsibilities

Marketplace Operations

  • Manage end-to-end category operations across marketplaces (e.g., Myntra, Amazon, Flipkart, Ajio, etc.)
  • Execute pricing uploads, updates, and hygiene checks to ensure accuracy and competitiveness
  • Coordinate closely with supply chain teams for inventory updates, inward tracking, and stock availability
  • Ensure platform compliance, catalog readiness, and issue resolution as per marketplace guidelines

Deals, Promotions & Campaigns

  • Own deals and promotions planning and execution across marketplaces
  • Configure campaigns including discounts, coupons, rebates, and promotions
  • Align promotional plans with marketplace calendars, sales events, and visibility opportunities
  • Track promo performance and optimize discounting to improve ROAS and conversions

Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Monitor daily and weekly category performance through reports and dashboards
  • Track key metrics such as sell-through, pricing effectiveness, stock cover, in-stock %, and visibility
  • Analyze trends and flag risks/opportunities related to availability, pricing gaps, or slow-moving inventory

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with merchandising teams to support assortment placement, slotting, and launches
  • Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure timely inwards and replenishment
  • Partner with marketing teams to align campaigns, ads, and marketplace initiatives with category goals

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of marketplace operations and category management
  • Good analytical skills with Excel / Google Sheets proficiency
  • Hands-on experience with pricing, promotions, and inventory coordination
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Operations, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in category operations, marketplace management, or e-commerce roles
