Role Overview

This is a core business role at Mokobara. As a Category Manager, you will act as the single-threaded owner for your category, responsible for the full product lifecycle and overall category health.

You'll sit at the intersection of data, product, brand, and growth, working cross-functionally to ensure that the products our teams pour their heart and soul into reach their full potential- commercially, creatively, and experientially.

We're looking for a high-ownership, insight-driven Category Manager to own one or more product categories end-to-end; from research and strategy to launch execution and performance tracking. If you're someone who loves owning outcomes, working deeply with data, and shaping products beyond just launch day, this role will give you immense ownership and impact.

Key Responsibilities

1. Category Ownership & Strategy

  • Own the category end-to-end, including product strategy, lifecycle management, and overall category performance.
  • Identify market white spaces through research and insights, and translate them into clear product and category opportunities.
  • Own category roadmaps, launch calendars, and projections aligned with business priorities.

2. Product Launch & Cross-Functional Execution

  • Act as the single owner for new product launches, driving alignment across brand, supply chain, growth, retail, and ops.
  • Ensure launch readiness across inventory, pricing, P&L, marketing plans, and channel execution.
  • Partner closely with brand to ensure the original product intent and sensibility are represented accurately across all touchpoints.

3. Performance, Insights & Governance

  • Track and monitor category performance through dashboards, reports, and deep-dive analysis.
  • Work closely with customer funnels and feedback loops to generate insights and guide iteration
  • Drive disciplined project management, timelines, and stakeholder communication across all category initiatives.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in a category management, business, growth, or cross-functional role.
  • Extremely strong in data, research, and insights; aces working with numbers, dashboards, and analysis.
  • Proven ability to manage projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Exceptional cross-functional communication and alignment skills.
  • A strong creative sensibility and appreciation for product, design, and storytelling.
  • Bonus:
  • - Familiarity with digital marketing, growth metrics, or performance-led decision-making.
  • - Having worked in customer experience-centric projects.
