Category Manager - Food Industry

Seeking a Dynamic Category Manager for a Consumer brand based in Bengaluru.

Job Responsibilities

● Drive category growth by acquiring and managing relationships with manufacturers, processors, and key stakeholders in the snacks, namkeen, and edible oil industry.

● Leverage existing industry connections to generate new business opportunities and expand market presence.

● Identify potential clients, partners, and high-volume users across the food processing and FMCG sectors.

● Develop and execute category growth strategies aligned with business objectives.

● Conduct market mapping, competitor analysis, and industry research to identify growth opportunities.

● Build strong relationships with decision-makers, including plant heads, procurement teams, operations heads, and business owners.

● Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and account management of clients.

● Track category performance, sales pipeline, and revenue targets.

● Represent the organisation at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums.

Job Requirements

● Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Food Technology, or a related field.

● 2-5 years of experience in Sales, Category Management, or Key Account Management.

● Strong network and industry connections within the Snacks, Namkeen, Edible Oil, Food Processing, or FMCG sectors.

● Proven track record of driving business growth and developing strategic partnerships.

● Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

● Willingness to travel extensively across India.
